It turns out this was the exact one for me! After using for three months it has worked out even better than I had hoped. The gate open's both ways which is a great feature that I never really thought of. I also really like that the gate glides to expand or contract so I don't have to swing 48" at the top of the stairs. The gate is 50" wide and 35" tall which makes it perfect for my house. I have taken this gate directly off the hinges and out of the stairway when guest come over. This feature allows me to place the gate in and out of the stairway when need. Overall, I love this gate and would defiantly recommend it. My husband installed the gate in under an hour. We like the fact that the whole gate can swing open in both directions since our kitchen, family room, and baby's room are located upstairs. Our 13 month old son is tall for his age and having the gate a few inches taller gives us some security. He does uses the gate to help him get up and cruise around. The gate remains study but we do check to make sure that it is stable. Definitely would recomment this product. |
