In the photo it is at it's smallest width, but as you expand the slats may not line up evenly and overlap in a different pattern. Fairly easy to install, it seemed. Assembled with 1"+ screws and four brackets. Wouldn't want my 80lbs dog up on it, but should pen in a smaller animal or a toddler. Wood was not too heavy, but reasonably sturdy. Yes, some of the wood finish is scratching off, but it's not a big deal to me.However, my one issue is that it sticks and is difficult to open and close. I will walk all the way around and use the other baby gate just so that I don't have to open and close this one because it sticks. |
